Description
Embroidered Red Cross Badge in a gold frame. The badge was worked and given to Miss Evelyn Gibbs by one of the wounded soldiers during the First World War. Evelyn served as Assistant Commandant in the Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) in the Hackford Military Hospital based in Hackford House. In 1955 Evelyn's sister Marjorie Gibbs presented it to the Reepham Detachment of the British Red Cross Society
