Description

Richard Wilkin, born 12 May 1917, was the son of Thomas & Ellen Wilkin. In 1939 the Wilkin family was living at 2 Railway Terrace, New Road in Reepham. Richard served in the Far East with the Royal Norfolk Regiment and was captured in Singapore in February 1942, taken prisoner & worked on the Burma Railway. He died on 17 June 1943 & was buried in the Kanchanaburi Cemetery in Thailand, not far from Bangkok.
