Description

Reginald Fisher (1897-1954) was the second son of George Ephraim B Fisher and Helen Hardiment. He married Eva M Leonard. Pictured in the uniform of a Bombardier in the Royal Field Artillery.

Reginald enlisted in March 1916. WWI records show that there was confusion about his demobilisation in 1919, involving a misunderstanding about leave of absence, important enough to involve the local police sergeant and Lee Hall, lawyer working for Purdy & Holley, Reepham solicitors. Reginald had apparently signed conscript papers at the recruiting office in Coventry not knowing the difference between them and ordinary service papers.
