Description

Benjamin Man was born at Houghton in the Hole and at one time worked as a seaman at Blakeney. He was a paid member of the Shipwrecked Fishermen & Mariners' Royal Benevolent Society in 1857.

In 1871 he was listed as a hawker boarding on Back Street with William Neale, at the bakery next to The Greyhound.
He married Elizabeth Ann Whur in 1872 and lived and worked in Reepham as a Book Hawker, printer and book binder.

Benjamin died in 1880. Elizabeth and their two daughters lived with the Whur grandparents in Norwich Road and later on Back Street.
