Rookery Farm looks out over a pasture that has been the site of brass band festivals, marquees for celebratory meals, sports events, a cricket practice ground and more recently the Reepham Festival. In reports it has been called Steward's Meadow, Brownsell's Meadow and Holah's Pasture, all named after the farmers who owned it in the past.
