Description
Blanche Dewing served as a VAD Nurse in Reepham during the First World War. She was the daughter of Martin Dewing and the family lived in Reepham Moor.
The photograph on display in Reepham Archive is annotated “Blanche Dewing” & has always been believed to be accurately named. However, research has shown that Blanche was a teacher & that the nurse is actually her younger sister Mabel Dewing.
