Vernon Whall of Reepham with headphones on - at the Royal Observer Corps post situated at Great Witchingham near the land that became part of the Wild Life Park owned by Philip Wayne. About 1955.
ROC Posts were built during the Cold War to estimate the size and location of nuclear explosions during an attack. This one was officially known as Reepham ROC Post. It can still be seen on the Fakenham to Norwich road (2021).
